Wiki Pages

I have just created a Wiki page via wetpaint.com and I found it to be a very easy process. There was nothing scary about it. I would happily reccommend this process to anybody, especially those that do not have a lot of technology experience.
This would be a great tool to use for group work. We live in such a busy society and this would be the ideal tool for people to come together at a suitable time to them. The information remains constantly in one place. What a great idea for those disorganised teenagers.
Also a great way for a coach to update an athlete or a team on what is required, especially those teams that contain athletes from different locations. For example the Wide Bay Netball team would include players from, Kingaroy, Hervey Bay, Nanango and Bundaberg. Travelling becomes and issue and training sessions would be kept to a minimum. so the wiki page would be a great way to come together. Unfortunately the coach would not truely know if the athlete has done any physical training.
You are welcome to check out the wiki page and include any information, just go to www.upthecreek-withmrsb.wetpaint.com

Hi

I just finished learning about the benefits of wikis. I found your post very interesting. Having studied in a group learning context before in a previous university subject I would have loved to have known about the capabilities of wikis in the collaborative process. It would have been much easier to compose and edit our assignements through a wiki than constantly editing and emailing back and forth our suggestions and updates as we did. Having an upcoming group assigment due later this term in another subject, I will definately be promoting the use of this elearning tool to my teammates. Hopefully organising a edited assignment will be a lot more hassel-free this time around.

Regards
Lyneale

Hello Mrs B,
I enjoyed your blog and I am keen to go and explore your wiki. In my last group assignment we used a wiki because one of our team mates lived out of town and found it difficult to meet up with us. It was a really great way to let everyone contribute wherever they were.
Regards,
Sharon
